We are currently in unit 6 for both econ and US history, but they are on different topics. For economics we are in the middle of our international trade and levels of development unit and for US history we are in the Cold War era.
With econ we are looking at four different countries right now, gathering data, and then the students will have to use that data to answer a few questions such as, using the 3 key economic questions how are the US and Cuba different from one another. I also ask them to recognize if the different levels of development of those countries. The countries are Cuba, Somalia, The US, and South Korea. They will be having a unit test next Wednesday. They will be starting a brochure at that time as well on a less developed country.
For US history we are just getting into how the Cold War started and we just finished going over the differences between Communism and Capitalism. I also plan on having a unit test next week, before we go on break.
